Oilseed YEN

In most regions of the UK, oilseed rape crops are capable of yielding around 9 tonnes of seed per hectare.

However, leading farms and research trials for oilseed rape often achieve in excess of 5 tonnes per hectare. The average commercial farm produces even less - around 3 tonnes per hectare, with little increase in over 10 years.

Where entries are supported by a UK based third party, that is not an official YEN Sponsor, Membership is £350 + VAT.

For all non-UK entries, Membership is £400.

Sponsorship

Corporate Sponsors support the network to maintain its core activities.  Their vital role is recognised in all YEN publicity, media items, conference presentations, and on this website.

Sponsors have a key role in steering the evolution of the network and its activities.  They have access to network information, intelligence and discussions to support their own yield enhancement initiatives.

Sponsors can also make multiple competition entries, and have multiple attendance at the annual YEN conference. A few sponsors will also contribute some or all of individual farmers membership fees. For more information, please contact the Oilseed YEN Project Manager.
